Bangkok & Chiangmai Trip Itinery

Posted by Carol's Rhythm 凯若旋 on Thursday, September 25, 2008 in , ,

We (Carol, Beng Lay, Seow Khee, Louis, Tian Siong & Foong Ling) will be leaving Malaysia soon. Hurray!! I'm already in my holiday mood. Tian Siong & Foong Ling will be leaving from Singapore heading to Penang and we shall be leaving this Saturday at 1705 on Air Asia FD3544. I understood that we have to meet up at the airport at 3.00pm. Oh, half of my weekends is gone and I shall be spending them at the other side of the globe.

Just now, I went to see the travel agent to collect all the confirmation slips. He reminded us not to overload ourselves as the luggage limit for checked-in luggage is 15kg while of the hand-carry is 7kg. And, none of any liquid form substance is allowed in the plane unless it is for own personal use for which the content of each item shall not exceed 10ml, and in aggregate shall not exceed 100ml.

We will be reaching Bangkok at 1745 (Thailand's local time) and will check in the hotel. It would be a hectic day, as our flight on the next day to Chiangmai is at 0645 on Air Asia FD3232. We will be spending our 4 days and 3 nights in Chiangmai. Hopefully, it would be an enjoyable and great holiday for all of us as we have been looking forward to this holiday since months ago.

After spending our days in Chiangmai, we will be heading back to Bangkok again on 1st october 2008 at 1435 on Air Asia FD3235 for a one night stay to have a shopping spree, while Tian Siong and his gf will be flying to Singapore directly from Bangkok.

That would be the end of our holidays. Looking forward to it.

Travel Checklist

Posted by Carol's Rhythm 凯若旋 on Sunday, September 21, 2008 in , ,

I will be leaving this coming Saturday, 27th September 2008, for Bangkok and Chiangmai. Will be leaving from Penang at 1705, and coming back on 2nd October 2008, 1005. Hurray!! 6 days to go...

Initially, our plan was to visit Bangkok and Pattaya. However due to recent political unrest in Bangkok, we changed our trip to Chiangmai and Chiangrai. We have booked our tickets in early July, and was informed by Air Asia that we are not allowed to change the destinations of the flights, so, we will fly from Penang to Bangkok, then transit to Chiangmai and vice versa. So, we shall be staying in Bangkok for two nights, and the rest in Chiangmai and Chiangrai.

I will be starting to pack my luggage later. Hopefully, I won't miss out anything.

KL & Genting Trip 2008

Posted by Carol's Rhythm 凯若旋 on Sunday, September 14, 2008 in

I visited KL and Genting Highlands last weekend with my dear and his friends. We reached KL on Saturday. We stayed in this hotel near the Old KTM station but I cannot remember the name of it. It has a very special, old and antique lift. See, you would never see this kind of lift nowadays.

Waiting for the lift...

The doors are opened...

But, to those of you who cannot shower without water heater, you would better stay away from this hotel, as it has a very lousy water heater system which is not working well. Freaking cold when I was taking showers!!!

On that day itself, we visited KLCC Aquaria again. I've been to the Aquaria for the third time since last September. Gosh! It's kind of bored though, as the marine species are almost the same. That's a norm for Malaysia, right?

Star fish on my palm...

It's on my dear's palm now.. They are like "dead"..

You see the fishes?? I'm wondering why are the fishes following the turtle...

With my dear... Had captured once before. Spot the difference?

The next day, we headed to Genting Highlands. We stayed for 2 nights in Genting Highlands. It's cold during this season, but it was a very soothing and relaxing holiday. I really enjoyed myself taking a good rest there after months of hard work.

With my dear in the cable car..

Khoon Yang & Stephanie...

May, Khoon Yang & Stephanie getting ready for the rock climbing.. (P/S: I've no guts for that..)

"Welcome to Genting..."

We are damn cold. See, I'm with gloves...

Can you see me now?? It's very misty, right??

The next day, we played in the theme park for the whole day, from outdoor to indoor. It's freaking misty and cold on that day. We tried almost all of the rides, from the exciting space shot to the Merry-Go-Round. Hehe...

When I'm back in Penang, I keep complaining about the weather in Penang. It's damn hot!!
