My Dear's Star Tortoises

Posted by Carol's Rhythm 凯若旋 on Sunday, December 28, 2008 in ,

T's Family

Saw Lean Shin's post on her Star Tortoise recently. She really takes good care of her star tortoise. It gave me the idea of sharing my dear's star tortoises too.

My dear took up an expensive hobby while we were studying in KL - rearing star tortoises. Initially, we bought two : Big - T and Small - T. They grow quite fast, from tiny tortoises to big ones. But still not as big as those you can see in pet shops.

Small - T and Big -T on my dear's palm

Small - T and Big - T side-by-side

Then, he bought another small one : Baby - T.

Baby - T taking his nap

Baby - T feeding on his veg

Baby - T : Yummy ...

When we were having semester break in Penang, he bought Not - T from Chew's Pet Shop. Not - T is not a healthy tortoise and passed away shortly. I buried him in the compound of Apartment Kenari and even made a tombstone for it.

Later, Big - T developed running nose and was feeling not well. He cannot open his eyes and he doesn't take food at all. My dear was so worried about him and we hunted down all those vets in Setapak area and were told that they do not how to diagnose star tortoises. Finally, we sent him to Ikano Power Centre where he was warded for three days for injections. Guess what, the hospitalization bill came to about RM 100. He recovered finally but doesn't last long. He passed away eventually. I missed him a lot as he is among those T's that I loved the most.

Left with Small - T and Baby - T

Next, comes he turn of Baby - T. He passed away in my house. I never realized that he is dead until my dear discovered him in the evening.

Now, we are left with Small - T, alone..

My 26th Birthday

Posted by Carol's Rhythm 凯若旋 on Saturday, December 20, 2008 in ,

I just came back from SP yesterday. We stayed in Cinta Sayang Resort. At first, We felt very eerie, as the chalets that we are staying are located quite a distance away from the main lobby. But later, we find it quite nice. It's great there, the breakfast is better than those served in Park Avenue. And we enjoyed pampering ourselves with sauna. Hehe..

Last Thursday was my birthday. Initially, I felt so sad coz' I cannot celebrate my birthday with my dear, family and dearest friends. But, my fellow colleagues turned up in front of me suddenly that night. I had the greatest surprise in my life last Thursday! I was so so happy ....... I headed out straight away without wearing my lens. Gosh!

Siew Yee, Steve, Beng Lay, Chee Huey and Han Liu in the main lobby

The girls by the scenic pool side...

At the buggy...

Thanks to Beng Lay, Chee Huey and Siew Yee for their naughty ideas. They really planned for this birthday surprise for me and Jessica and travelled all the way from Penang to SP to have this birthday dinner. I'm no longer alone anymore. We took Bak Kut Teh for our dinner in Taman Patani Jaya. It's my most unforgettable birthday that was celebrated out of Penang Island for the second time. I've promised Siew Yee that I will keep this memory in my hard disk forever.

Jessica and Me with the birthday cake...

All of us...

Thanks ya, my dearest friends and colleagues.

Yesterday night, my dear bought me a Crepe Mill with Oreos and Cream. It's nice and tasty. It's my second birthday cake for the year. Hehe...

My dear and I

Me and my mummy

A closer look at the crepe mill

Thanks to my dear, my family and all of my friends for the birthday wishes that I have received, be it from phone calls made, SMSes, in Facebook, in Frienster, physical presences in SP, love showered and etc. I really appreciated that. It really lighted up my chapters of life. Love you all...

Interim Audit in SP Again

Posted by Carol's Rhythm 凯若旋 on Sunday, December 14, 2008 in

I will be going to SP for interim audit tomorrow. I've been involved in the same job last year. So, I think it won't be that tough for me this year since I already have an idea of the work flows of it.

But, frankly, I do feel a bit sad. This audit will last for five days, which will be ending on 19th December. It's the first time that I had to bear with my birthday by myself, without my dear, my mummy and my dearest friends celebrating it with me. It's pity though. Thinking of that, I'm really sad and disappointed. But, I do have no choice, I still have to work. Sob Sob...

Wish me luck ya so that I can finish my job smoothly. Thereafter, I'm coming back to Penang to celebrate my belated birthday with my dear and my mummy soon!

Wedding Fever

Posted by Carol's Rhythm 凯若旋 on Monday, December 08, 2008 in ,

It's a good month to get married in November and December 2008, I supposed. These two months, I've been invited to a number of wedding dinners. First, it was Wooi Yean's. Then, CK (so sorry that I could not make it), then, Neoh's, and lastly Anny's. Just came back from Anny's wedding dinner in Jade Restaurant at Choo Plaza. She is so pretty today. Anny's wedding was great. It's like a gathering for all of us-ex and current MR staff. Most colleagues went except those working in Singapore and those who have more important matters on hand and could not make it. The food are fine and the dishes are being served in a timely manner. I prefer this to Wonderland's. Oh ya, I don't quite like the last dish -hot dessert. Eeks.. But Tze Chin told me, that dish is good for females. It helps to nourish your complexion and health. I still prefer desserts like ice cream or sago honeydew. Haha..

After dinner, we went to Starbucks in Gurney to have a drink.

Gosh, I took caramel frappe and I am damn awake now. What to do now? Except blogging and 'facebooking' ... Haha..

Christmas Mood

Posted by Carol's Rhythm 凯若旋 on Tuesday, December 02, 2008 in ,

christmas Pictures, Images and Photos

"We wish you a Merry Christmas...Good tidings to you......"

" Christmas, Christmas, time is near, time for toys and time for cheers..."

"Hark, the herald angel sing, glory to the new born King..."

"Rudolph, the red nose reindeer, has a very shiny nose..."

"Joy to the world, the Lord has come...."

These are the infamous Christmas Carols that would be played in the malls, in the cars, in houses whenever Christmas is just round the corner.

Even in the Pet Soceity in Facebook, the game is customised to suit this festive season.

I have always love the month of December. When I was young, I heard a song that sounds:

"I love the month of December, coz' it makes me want to remember, how we spend our Christmas, having fun.." I missed those days that I went out for Christmas Carolling with my fellow brothers and sisters in Tabernacle of Praise.

Another reason that I love the month of December is:

It's my Birthday!!
