Tze Chin's Birthday

Posted by Carol's Rhythm 凯若旋 on Thursday, July 24, 2008 in ,

Time flies. Still remember vividly that we celebrated Tze Chin's birthday in Little Genting last year. And it's one year ago from now!

She's 26 years old now! But, she still acted like a child. Am I right? You will agree with me after you see this:

BINGO!

Tze Chin's birthday falls on 21st July, but she had piano classes on that day with her fellow students. So, we had a belated celebration with her yesterday night.

We went for BBQ steamboat at a shop located at the intersection of Kek Chuan Road and Macalister Road. It's a shame of me as I do not know the name of that shop.

Yummy yum, there is quite a wide variety of choices there. From dim sum to Ais Kacang. The egg tart is super delicious.
We spent nearly 2 hours there "enjoying" the stuffy oily and smelly atmosphere. But, we did enjoy ourselves!

Opps.. Forgotten to mention who are we? WE are:

Later, we drop by the sea side near to Jelutong Expressway.

Happy Birthday to "Double-T C !!!

Tze Chin, we love you and may all your birthday wishes come true!! Muacks!!!

Happy Feet Fish Spa

Posted by Carol's Rhythm 凯若旋 on Saturday, July 05, 2008 in

Have you guys tried the Happy Feet Fish Spa in New World Park?

Haha, you should give it a try. I think it is a good once-off experience. Definitely, I won't go for a second time.

I went there with Kevin last month but was too lazy to write up a post until today. I simply enjoyed the ticklish sensation when the fishes nibbled your feet. The fishes in the pond would nibble away those dried skin from your feet, as claimed by the shop owner. Thus, it would leave your feet smoother than before. But in fact, I really did not notice about that. But, it was a good experience.

Below are a few shots of my feet and those Garra fishes:

SiChuan Earthquake

Posted by Carol's Rhythm 凯若旋 on Friday, May 23, 2008 in

Really pity those victims who lost their lives, loved ones, houses and everything... It was a dreadful disaster.

I just received a meaningful sms from Beng Lay and wish to share with you guys. It reads:

Dinner at Toilet Bowl

Posted by Carol's Rhythm 凯若旋 on Friday, May 16, 2008 in

Have you guys tried out Toilet Bowl in Queensbay Mall?

Last Friday, I went to Toilet Bowl with Siew aka Cha Cha. Curiosity arose and we decided to try out Toilet Bowl for the first time. Every time, I went for shopping during weekends, I would see tonnes of people queuing up to get a seat in the Toilet Bowl. Now, it's our turn to go in without having to queue as it was a weekday.

Well, the atmosphere is so so, You get to sit on a typical toilet bowl, and you can see bathroom related decorations there, ie sinks, showers etc. But, I don't feel comfortable having dinner there, as the 'chair'-toilet bowl is too high, and there is less room for your legs, though mine aren't very long.

Siew ordered Kimchi Ramen and Oreo ice blended. I don't like the Ramen, so do Siew. But the ice blended, yummy yummy. However, it's quite diluted, and if do not finish it fast enough, Gosh, you'll be ended up drinking iced chocolate.
I ordered fish fillet rice and Soursop with strawberry mock tail 肥皂水, for what it is known as. The rice tastes fine, though not very delicious, and the drink, is a so so.

All in all, I would not really recommend you to try out Toilet Bowl, as it is not that special and tasty. Or just maybe, we tried out the wrong choices!!

Ruby's Farewell & Suat Boon's Birthday

Posted by Carol's Rhythm 凯若旋 on Wednesday, May 07, 2008 in ,

Today, we went to Prontip (near Aurora Court) to have our buffet lunch to celebrate Ruby's farewell. In fact, today is not her last day in S&A, she will be leaving us only after 30th June. Hee.. Too bad that somebody has mistaken..

Well, the food is ala Thai and it is not too bad, the best thing is, it is reasonably priced, at about RM11 per pax.

Today is also Suat Boon's birthday!! She was too concentrated in her work, and even when we brought the cake to the office, she was not aware of that. When all of us gathered around her, she was too surprised to see her birthday cake. Later, she kept thanking everyone of us for celebrating her birthday with her. I'm indeed so happy working in MR as we are like a big happy family and everyone care for each other and being cared in return.

Kok Ee's and Sam's Farewell

Posted by Carol's Rhythm 凯若旋 on Friday, April 18, 2008 in ,

I have words to say:

Happy family:

Today is Kok Ee's and Sam's farewell. From next week onwards, we will lose two colleagues. In fact, I really feel sad on his dismissal, as he's part of my group and he did help me up a lot.

Our Group:-----

However, I do understand that, life is like that, friends are just part of it, they may become acquainted with you today and they may leave tomorrow. And in MR, we are not mere colleagues, but true friends. I really do not feel good when hearing about friends leaving us. Starting from Choy Yin, then Tze Chin and Tian Siong, then Hoang Yaw and Wooi Yean, now is Kok Ee and so on and so forth. For your information, Anny would be next on the list. Especially when those that we are close with leave us, I would really miss them a lot. Sometimes, I would think: would some close friends just stay beside us forever? To me, friends do not just fill a page of our diaries, but uncountable pages:

A meaningful quote to share:

Friends are not a GAME to play.
Friends are not just a WORD to say.
Friends do not start in March and end in May.
Friends mean TODAY, YESTERDAY and FOREVER....

Backdated: Tian Siong's Farewell

Posted by Carol's Rhythm 凯若旋 on Monday, March 24, 2008 in ,

Thought of wanted to write something on Tian Siong's farewell long time ago. Just do not have the time to do so, and thanks to my grand-aunty memory, that I totally forgotten about this matter later on.

Yesterday, while I was browsing through "My Photos" folder and realized that I have not even posted anything for his farewell. Time flies, he left us for almost half a year ago. I'm sure that all of us missed him a lot, his laughter, his jokes and etc. And the main point is: Are you getting taller lately?

One the week before he left, ie 13th October 2007, we went to catch a movie in Gurney Plaza. Couple of us attended: LTS, YEP, TBL, CL and SCH. During our lunch at a vegetarian house in Pulau Tikus, YEP carried LTS, as he has always used to do so. I'm sure LTS will miss those happy moments he shared with YEP, ever since he joined MR and after PPCP....

On the last day of his stay in MR, this very special day: 16th Oct 2007, we organized a farewell dinner for him. Many of us attended. Even LSK attended. You can hardly see LSK in most of our outings. Hehe...

We went for a dinner near the Jetty and later went for a walk to enjoy the sea breeze near the marina.

LTS: Say Cheese..See, Am I cute???!!!!

He will be leaving for Sawarak on 19th October 2007. Initially, Beng Lay and I promised to give him and his gf a lift to the airport, so we delivered our promises though he was so reluctant to let us to do so.

While he was having his dinner at Nando's,

"Surprise!!!"

Here comes most of the MR staff to bid him goodbye and to send him off. He was so surprised and you can see his tears were flooding his eyes.

"Goodbye, Kidz Leong"

Some small tokens for his farewell...

No matter where you are, true friendships will remain. And we wish you all the best in Singapore!!!

Apartment Stay 2008 cum May's Birthday

Posted by Carol's Rhythm 凯若旋 on Sunday, March 16, 2008 in ,

We went for apartment stay last weekend at Bayu Emas Apartment in Batu Ferringhi. Many of us went there: Beng Lay, Sherlyn, Kok Ee, Carol, May, Darrel, Siew Yee, Jess, Tze Chin, Sam & Sam's gf, Anny, Ing Han, Boon Leong & Boon Leong's gf, Chee Huey, Tian Hong, Teik Tye, Jessica, Carine, Louis, Raymond, Jun Hao and Vincent. I'm sure we might not have the opportunity to have this kind of gathering whereby so many people can attend. Too bad that Kidz Leong cannot make it as he cannot get his bus ticket.

I was so excited and woke up early on 15th Mar, thereafter, went to Coming Soon's house and had all those food prepared. Later, we went to Tesco to have our lunch as well as do some shopping with May, Kok Ee, Ing Han and Siew Yee.

By the time we reached the apartment, it was about 4++pm. Darrel has already checked in earlier. We played Monopoly while preparing for the food.

Then, few of us: TTC, SCH, CMH, TBL, WSY and CL went to the beach and enjoyed ourselves. We met YEP in the lift and he was forced to follow us as well. We built " Turtle House" and played by the beach. It's fun....

Turtle House:

Flower foot print:

Then, we headed back to the apartment, refreshed up and prepared for the event of the night. The Steamboat!!! Wow...I'm so happy that everything turned up successfully. It's Great!!! We chatted, snapped pictures, played cards and played Monopoly.

Having fun...

Guess what, we also celebrated May's Birthday! She was so surprised when they brought in the cake.

Hehe.... All of us (except Boon Leong and his gf, they must have gone for some private moments, hehe..)-----:

Then, we took a family photo:

Parents: May & Raymond
Kids: Beng Lay, Chee Huey, Carol and Teik Tye..
Comment: this was a happy family, but dad got mad when mum gave birth to a son.... Hehe

The night is still young, while many of them hang up in the pub.. few of us enjoyed playing Monopoly in the apartment. We played till about 4am in the morning. I'm so exhausted...

Time flies, it's approaching the end of out apartment stay.. I'm sure this stay would be a memorable stay for all of us and may it stay in our hearts and mind as long as it may..

Last memorable snap before we bid adieu:
